About Us ...This website was started with a belief in actors and other talent. It was started by George Butiri, an actor turned producer. He knows what he had to go through to gain exposure. In a way, he wanted to make it easier on the very same people who want exposure. So he thought, why not through video? After all, acting is mostly a visual art. He also thought, why not make it free? After all, headshots nowadays cost an arm and a leg for most actors. Why not reduce the burden for potential talent and let them decide if they think the website is worth their time, at no cost to them. He hopes that ActingShowcase.com will be come THE filter for producers and actors, and that it will bring the acting community more oportunities, both for actors, and crew.
