About Us ...So what is ActingShowcase.com? It's a video sharing website for aspiring actors, and professional actors alike. It's a place where talented people can upload their work to others, get rated, receive comments, and better themselves to help them on their way to Hollywood, or Broadway. We also have blogs on MySpace that give advice on production as well as in front of the camera work. ActingShowcase.com was started by George Butiri of Two Martinis Productions (TwoMartinis.com). George started out as an actor, and moved to behind the camera when he noticed that the projects he was working on never got done. His new found talent got him several films completed, and several awards for some of his work. His passion for the arts drove him and his skills of making websites to design ActingShowcase.com. With this website, he hopes to connect actors and casting directors almost face to face. Sure, there are websites out there that list casting jobs, but you still have to show up in person. So, you drive there, try to battle traffic, spend gas and money, and you only land about 10% of the gigs. And some of them don't even pay. Why not just upload yourself online so that casting directors can spare time, travel and money, themselves? Why not other video websites? Most general video websites will show everything from the dramatic hamster to funny cats. How is that supposed to weed out the actors that are serious about their career?
