The Sound of Music tells the tale of young postulant Maria Rainer, whose free spirit has trouble fitting into the rules and regulations of Nonnberg Abbey. Commissioned by the Mother Abbess to serve as the governess for seven motherless children, Maria transforms the Von Trapp family home from a place of dour rules and regulations to one filled with joy, with laughter, and with music. He befriends a seemingly quiet, but sweet mentally ill teenager who seems to set an example for all patients, but unfortunately to curb patent attitude a new security guard is recruited by the hospital. The new Guard uses brute force to enforce his rule. Both patients and staff members fall victim as his prey unable to escape his cold touch, or his brutality. But not even the mentally challenged will take abuse for long.
